Contact Display in Global Address List/Offline Address Book

Because CloudPortal Services Manager is a multi-tenant management service, we must rewrite contact addresses in order to facilitate the same contact being created under multiple tenants. As such, you will see contacts in your address list in a format similar to billg_at_microsoft.com@example-agency.com.

When you send a message to this contact, a special transport agent will rewrite the address into its correct format before sending the message externally (billg@microsoft.com).
